WBJECA 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The MCA programs of West Bengal are available at government / private engineering colleges and the government.ActionEvent Colleges. Admission to these courses is managed by some eligibility parameters and rules governed by the state government. Candidates wanting to take up MCA from WBJECA should ensure they fulfil all eligibility conditions when applying.
Eligibility criteria include:
1. Nationality - Applicant of Indian origin.
2. Domicile: Candidate must have a domicile of West Bengal.
3. Age - Then candidates have No Age Limit.
Applicants must have to complete all of the minimum course requirements listed below as follows :
Modules | Eligibility |
Module 1 | Candidates must have completed a three-year bachelor's degree program from a UGC-recognized university. They need to have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in either Honors or Aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates) OR Applicants should hold a Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) degree from institutions recognised by the All India Institute of Common Entrance Examination (AICTE), with at least 60% marks in mathematics at the undergraduate level. |
Module 2 | Candidates must possess a three-year bachelor's degree recognised by UGC and AICTE, except for BBA, with mathematics at either the 10+2 level or the graduate level. They should have secured a minimum of 50% marks at graduation (45% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates). |
Module 3 | Candidates should have finished their graduation or an equivalent degree following the (10+2+3) pattern in any field from a university or institute recognised by UGC/AICTE. Mathematics must be one of the subjects studied at each level of education. Candidates should have attained a minimum of 60% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) at each level of education. |
Module 4 | Candidates need to have completed a BSc Honours degree following the (10+2+3) pattern in any field from a University or Institute recognised by UGC, with a minimum aggregate score of 60% (45% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates), along with at least 55% marks specifically in Mathematics. They should have achieved at least 60% marks in both Secondary and Higher Secondary education or equivalent levels from recognised Boards, with at least 60% in Mathematics at each level. Candidates must obtain 60% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) at each level of education. |
