- RBI Policy Challenge (2019): A talented team from the B.Sc. The economics program, guided by Dr. Rohit Muraleedharan, reached the National Finals at RBI’s head office in Mumbai. The team showcased their analysis of monetary policy during a low food inflation period and took home 4th place with a ₹25,000 cash prize. The same team excelled in the Regional and Zonal rounds by discussing “Banking Sector Challenges and Opportunities” and analyzing RBI’s Financial Stability Report.
- Best Emerging Institute Award (2017): Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics was honoured with the Best Emerging Institute Award at the 9th Innovative Education Awards hosted by STAR Group and DNA. This award, accepted by Prof. Amita Vaidya, Associate Dean, was presented by the Honorable Minister of Education from Sri Lanka, Akila Viraj Kariyawasam.
- Budding Economist of South Asia (2017): Aditya Jahagirdar, a final-year B.Sc. Economics student, earned the title of “Budding Economist of South Asia” at the prestigious South Asian Economics Students Meet. Competing with students from India and six other South Asian countries, Aditya demonstrated excellence in economics, proudly representing NMIMS on an international platform.
