Situated in Faridabad, Manav Rachna University is a member of the Manav Rachna Educational Institution group which was set up in the year 2004 as Manav Rachna College of Engineering offers a multitude of academic programs in Engineering, Management, Applied Science, Humanities, Law, and Education. This university offers research facilities and accepts applications through the Internet. SCET offers B. Tech admission to those candidates who have at least 60% marks taking admission through JEE Main, SAT, Uni Gauge E, or MRNAT. B. Ed and B. Ed (Special Education) applicants should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and they should have secured at least 50% marks. 

Admissions in B. Sc and BBA are as per the MRNAT or SAT, whereas for B. Ed, M. Sc, and LL. M admissions base all their decisions entirely on the MRNAT scores. The Integrated LL. B program also takes into account MRNAT scores, although CLAT-qualified students can also apply for admission. The admission process for M. Tech as mentioned above consists of having B. Tech degree with a minimum of 50% marks, Passing GATE Score. Candidates applying for admission can, therefore, be admitted through a written examination that is set by the university, However, UGC NET, UGC-CSIR NET, SLET, GATE or M. Phil qualified students do not take this examination. Admission across other courses is done at the end and is determined by performance.

The B. Tech program at Manav Rachna University is a four-year full-time programme and a three-year B. Tech (Lateral Entry) programme in four disciplines. For seeking admission in the B. Tech course, 60% marks in the 10+2 examination are required, though, for the lateral entry, 50% marks are required. The B. Tech courses’ admission is by scores from JEE Main, SAT, Uni Gauge E, or MRNAT administered by the university.

In addition, Manav Rachna University currently offers the following undergraduate courses, which take two years to complete, B. Ed. , three-year B. Sc. , BBA, integrated B. Ed. , and five-year LL. B. courses. It is a mandatory rule that, one should have passed their +2 exam in the related stream with a minimum of 50% marks. BBA and B. Sc admission or intakes are specified below: programs call for a valid score in MRNAT or SAT, and entry into the B. Ed. program is mainly assessed by the MRNAT score alone, Students will be selected to participate in the program depending on their MRNAT score only.

The postgraduate programmes which are Post Graduate M. Tech, M. Sc, and LL offered by Manav Rachna University are of two years duration. M across various specialisations. For M. Sc and LL the following conditions were laid down to be fulfilled by the candidates: M, the candidate must have a postgraduate degree with min 50% mark. For M. Tech the candidate should have a B. Tech degree with a minimum of 50% marks. All the above-mentioned programmes have a GATE score as the criterion for admission to the programme and the M. Tech programme respectively, while the M. Sc and LL. The number and type of M programs that one can apply for is depended on the MRNAT scores that one gets.

Through its school of doctoral studies, Manav Rachna University provides a Ph. D. in eight disciplines. For one to qualify, he/she must hold a Master’s or M. Phil. qualification of at least a bachelor’s degree with not less than fifty per cent marks. The programs are by Agreements between the university and the Ministry which is by written examination and an interview conducted by the university.

• The application form can be downloaded from the official website of MRU.

• The Admission Brochure consists of a torn-off Scratch Card with one of the hidden numbers to be used in the electronic filing of the online application form.

To apply online:

• go to the University’s home page, where it will be written ‘Apply Now’.

• Again the candidate should take a photo in formal dress, plain background, 30mm x 45mm and can not exceed 80 KB to be uploaded.

• Original as well as scanned copies of the Secondary (10th), Senior Secondary (10+2) and any other qualifying examination should be kept handy.

• All fields in the application form are to be completed truthfully

• Make two hard copies of the filled online application form for physical counselling for the final version.

• Application fee of INR 1200 is to be paid through Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card and E-Wallets only.

• Physical attendance at the counselling for admission in their respective institutions before the Admission Committee.

Candidates must bring the original documents along with two sets of attested photocopies.

Manav Rachna University Reservation Criteria

• Out of the total intake capacity, 15% is allocated to NRI/Foreign National and PIO candidates for all the programs.

• Out of the total seats, 85% of the seats are there and 25% of seats are for Haryana domicile students with 10% of these for SC students belonging to Haryana.

• The state quota also contains a merit quota wherein there is a reservation of one seat for Kashmiri Migrants in all programs.
