Alliance University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and executive programmes in Engineering, Management, Commerce, Arts, and Law. Admission criteria vary by programme and may include past academic performance, national test scores, group discussions, essay writing, and personal interviews. The Alliance University Scholastic Aptitude Test (AUSAT) is used for admission into various undergraduate courses. The application fee for admission is currently INR 1,000.

Two major programmes at Alliance University are the BTech and the Master of Business Administration (MBA), commonly referred to as the MBA Flagship. Admissions to the university are conducted online. Since its establishment, Alliance University has formed more than 75 bilateral relationships and supports a student exchange programme. The university offers PhD programmes in seven subjects, with admission strictly based on performance in the Alliance Research Aptitude Test (ARAT).
BTech Eligibility Criteria
For admission to the undergraduate degree course, it is necessary to qualify in the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as two compulsory subjects along with any one of the optional subjects, namely Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects.
The overall evaluation must be of a minimum 50% pass mark (45% for SC/ST students).
To determine merit, marks scored in JEE Main / JEE (Advanced) / KCET / COMED-K / AUSAT or any other State-level engineering entrance exam are considered.
Admission requirements, therefore, include a Personal Interview that is conducted as part of the admission process.
BTech Lateral Eligibility Criteria
Diploma holders must have secured 45 % marks for the General category and 40% marks for the SC/ST category for any branch of Engineering & Technology.
Candidate should have passed BSc from a designated university recognized by UGC with 45% marks (40 % marks for SC/ST), and he/she should have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject at 10+2 level.
The students from the BSc stream will be required to pass various subjects of the first-year engineering programme such as Engineering Graphics/Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics, and subjects of the second year also.
Those who have completed a D.Voc. (Diploma in Vocational) can begin applying for jobs and start earning immediately after finishing the course. They are eligible if they belong to the same stream or an allied sector of the stream offered.
The available seats in various BTech Lateral Entry programs at Alliance University are determined based on merit.
UG Admissions
The Annual Skill Assessment Test, commonly termed as USAT is conducted by Alliance University for all its UG stream students.
The duration of the AUSAT is 90 minutes which is divided into a total of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
Unlike some other exams, such as GUAT and UCAT, there is no negative marking in AUSAT.
The application fee for AUSAT is 200 Indian Rupees.

Eligibility criteria for the Alliance University MBA program include:
- The candidate must have completed a 3-year or 4-year Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks for the General category (45% for SC/ST).
- Strong academic performance.
- Competitive scores in CAT, GMAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT, NMAT, ATMA or KMAT, with timely completion of the examination.
- Oral extempore presentation.
- Personal interview.
