The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2025 is an important exam organised by IIT Bombay. It helps students get into top design colleges in India, such as IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIITDM Jabalpur. The exam tests creativity, visualisation skills, and design knowledge.
Candidates who did well in the UCEED 2025 exam, with results announced on March 8, 2025, can join the counselling process. To be eligible, candidates must have registered between March 14 and April 2, 2025, and met the required scores set by IIT Bombay. The cut-off marks for Part A were shared on February 8, 2025, and only those who met this cut-off could have their Part B evaluated. Candidates can check if they qualify for counselling by logging into the UCEED 2025 results portal with their email and password.
The first round of seat allotment results and cut-off marks for UCEED 2025 counselling will announced on April 10, 2025. The UCEED 2025 exam will held on January 21, 2025, and the final answer key will released on February 1, 2025, after reviewing objections to the draft key, which were accepted until January 25, 2025. This schedule ensures a clear and fair admission process for all candidates.

What is the UCEED Exam?
UCEED is a national-level entrance exam conducted by IIT Bombay for admissions in the BDes program at some of the participating institutes, which include IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur. These institutes are entered through UCEED scores via a Joint Seat Allocation Process managed by IIT Bombay. Based on the UCEED merit rank, candidates can participate in the seat allotment or counselling process.
In addition, UCEED scores are used in other institutes also as result sharing, and they will not be adjoined to the Joint Seat Allotment process that will be taken up. However, the & intake admits applicants with UCEED scores (without a background in design) only for a few seats, and the remaining can be filled with scores from other entrance tests. UCEED exam is conducted once a year, in January always.
This is further substantiated by the UCEED 2023 edition, in which more than 15,000 candidates had registered, of which about 13,500 candidates took the exam from 147 exam cities.

UCEED 2025 Eligibility Criteria
