The NIFT exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency. The result for NIFT 2025 was released by NTA on 20 March 2025. Candidates can download their results by visiting the official website and logging in by application number and date of birth. The results indicate the qualifying status of candidates for the subsequent rounds. Please note that the NIFT 2025 application process is now closed. The examination was held on 5 Feb 2025.
The common Eligibility criteria for this examination is that candidates need to have 10 + 2 examinations from a recognised board. Candidates are advised to go through full details of eligibility criteria before their registration for the examination. This examination is accepted by top-ranked institutes such as NIFT Bengaluru, NIFT Bhopal, NIFT Bhubaneswar, NIFT Chennai, NIFT Delhi, NIFT Hyderabad, NIFT Jodhpur.

What is the NIFT Entrance Exam?
NIFT conducts a design entrance examination across the country each year, which is divided mainly into two sections. First of all, there are the Written Exams which are the General Ability Test (GAT) and the Creative Ability Test (CAT) out of which GAT is required for all courses and CAT for the B. Des and M. Des aspirants only. Secondly, there is the Situation Test for the B. Des candidates and the Personal Interview for the PG candidates excluding the B. F. Tech which is based only on GAT scores. Regarding other programmes in NIFT 2025, the final cumulative consideration is focused on the written exams and the Situation Test/Personal Interview. The NIFT scores or merit rank are used as the admission criteria for design courses in 18 affiliated institutes providing B. Des, M. Des, B. F. Tech, M. F. Tech, and M. F. M. courses that jointly offer 5,289 seats.
