The NEET SS 2025 exam is essential for doctors who want to study super-specialised medical programs. This exam is done by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on computers. It will be held over two days in the third week of September 2025. How well candidates do on this exam will decide if they can get into top medical colleges in India. To take this exam, candidates must have a postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) from a recognised institution. The exam covers 13 different super speciality subjects. Candidates need to choose their question paper groups when they apply.
Some of the best colleges participating in NEET SS 2025 are AIIMS in New Delhi, PGIMER in Chandigarh, King George Medical University, Moti Lal Nehru Medical College and JIPMER in Puducherry. These colleges offer top-rated medical programs.
Candidates can start applying for NEET SS 2025 in the fourth week of July 2025. At the same time, an information bulletin will be released. The NEET SS exam will happen over two days in the third week of September 2025, with two different time slots. This schedule makes sure that there are no conflicts, so candidates can concentrate on doing their best. The exam results will be declared in October 2025 on the NAT Board's Official Website.

What is NEET SS 2025?
NEET SS (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Super Speciality Courses) is conducted by the National Board of Education as the qualifying and ranking exam for entrance to various DM/MCh and DNB courses. According to the Indian Medical Council Act of 2016, no other exam can be considered for admission to these courses. NEET SS is held in CBT mode annually.

NEET SS 2025 Eligibility Criteria
NBE has the eligibility criteria for NEET SS, which are provided here for the knowledge of prospective test takers.
MBBS with Post Graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB/Equivalent) in a relevant discipline from an MCI-recognized institution.
The NEET SS 2025 eligibility criteria allowed more candidates to appear for the exam. Candidates who finished their postgraduate degree on September 30, 2025, were eligible for NEET SS 2025.
They should be registered with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.

NEET SS 2025 for Foreign Nationals
All foreign nationals who wish to apply for super speciality courses in India must leave the NEET SS 2025 exam.
If registered duly in their own country, they are not required to be registered with the MCI/SMC.
MCI may issue a temporary registration for the duration of the post-doctoral course as and when it is granted to the candidate by the NEET SS. But, this registration is NOT with the college/institution of admission.
