Candidates preparing for NEET 2025 should practice past years' question papers to strengthen their preparation. However, they must skip questions that are no longer part of the current syllabus. Since the NEET 2025 exam is scheduled for May 4, 2025, and only a few months remain, solving previous years' papers should be a key part of their study plan. While the exam pattern has changed, these papers can still help candidates understand the types of questions and important topics.

NTA has confirmed that NEET 2025 will be held in offline mode using pen and paper, following a single-day, single-shift format as decided by the National Medical Commission (NMC). On the exam day, candidates will receive the question paper at the center and can take it with them after the test.

The exam pattern has undergone changes. Optional questions have been removed, reducing the total number of questions from 200 to 180. These questions will be divided among Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Zoology and Botany). The exam duration has also been shortened from 200 minutes to 180 minutes.

To adapt to the new pattern, candidates should refer to NEET question papers from 2019 to 2022, as they follow a similar structure. Additionally, the NEET 2025 exam pattern is the same as that used until NEET 2020, so solving question papers from 2018 to 2020 will also be beneficial.

NEET 2024 Question Papers and Exam Details

As for these candidates, they were given the correct re-exam question papers.

  • As a result, the learners become acquainted with the format of the exam that used to be prevalent in the past.
  • Less stress on the day of the test
  • Knowledge about the questions likely to be asked
  • Strengths and weaknesses analysis
  • Improved time management skills

NEET Question Paper: How to Calculate Marks

To calculate your score after solving the NEET question paper, use the following steps:

  1. Count the total number of correct answers and multiply by 4.
  2. Count the total number of incorrect answers and multiply by 1.
  3. Apply the formula:
Marks scored = (Total no. of correct answers * 4) - (Total no. of incorrect answers)

Example: If you answered 100 questions correctly out of 150 attempted:

Marks scored = (100 * 4) - (50) = 400 - 50 = 350

Note: No marks are deducted for unanswered questions.
