NEET 2025 Counselling Dates (OUT): Registration, Admit Card, Result & Exam Dates

The NEET 2025 exam is set to take place on May 4, 2025. The admit card will be available by May 1, 2025, just a few days before the exam. Before that, the city allotment slip will be released on April 26, 2025.
The NEET 2025 results will be announced by June 14, 2025. While NTA has not yet confirmed the exact date for releasing the answer keys and OMR sheets, past trends suggest that the provisional answer keys will likely be available in the fourth week of May 2025.
NTA released the official notification, information bulletin, and application form for NEET 2025 on February 7, 2025. Candidates had until March 7, 2025, at 11:50 PM to submit their applications. A correction window was open from March 9 to March 11, 2025, allowing applicants to make necessary changes.
The NEET 2025 schedule follows a pattern similar to previous years to ensure the academic session 2025-26 begins on time. For the first time, NTA has announced all key dates, including the correction window, city intimation slip, admit card release, and result declaration, in advance. Previously, only application dates were provided initially, with other dates announced later.
NTA has also confirmed that NEET 2025 will be conducted in a single day and shift in offline mode using pen and paper. This puts an end to speculations about a multi-day exam format. Additionally, the exam pattern has changed—optional questions have been removed, and the number of questions has been reduced from 200 to 180. The total exam duration has also been reduced from 200 minutes to 180 minutes (three hours).
Following the exam, the answer keys and results will be released within a month. The NEET 2025 counselling process is expected to begin in August 2025.

NEET 2025 Important Events
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has scheduled various events for NEET UG 2025, including application submission, admit card release, exam date, answer key publication, result declaration, and counselling. The entire process spans around seven to eight months. Below is a breakdown of the key events:
- NEET 2025 Exam Date Announcement: NTA announced the NEET 2025 exam date on February 7, 2025. Unlike the previous year, when all exam dates were released through a common calendar, this year, NTA announced dates separately along with the application form and information bulletin.
- NEET 2025 Application Dates: The application form became available online on February 7, 2025, and the last date for submission, including fee payment, was March 7, 2025, at 11:50 PM. Based on requests from stakeholders, NTA may extend or reopen the application window. A correction facility was available from March 9 to March 11, 2025.
- NEET 2025 City Allotment Slip: This document, which mentions the exam city, will be available by April 26, 2025.
- NEET 2025 Admit Card Release: The admit card will be issued on May 1, 2025, three to four days before the exam. Candidates must carry this document to the exam center and keep it safe for the counselling process.
- NEET 2025 Exam Date: The NEET 2025 exam will take place on May 4, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM (IST) at various exam centers in India and abroad.
- NEET 2025 Answer Key Release: NTA will publish the provisional answer key and OMR response sheets in the fourth week of May 2025. Candidates will have three to four days to challenge the answer key. The final answer key will be released on June 14, 2025, along with the result.
- NEET 2025 Result Date: The result and scorecard will likely be available on June 14, 2025. The NEET cutoff will be released along with the scorecard. NTA will also share merit list details, including city-wise results, total candidates, and marks distribution. Last year, although NTA had set the result date as June 14, the results were announced 10 days earlier on June 4, 2024. A similar trend may occur this year.
NEET 2025 Counselling: Counselling is expected to begin in the fourth week of July or the first week of August 2025. This process may last three to four months, with four to five rounds planned. If any seats remain vacant, additional rounds will be conducted. After releasing the NEET scorecards, NTA will not play a role in the counselling process.
