The NEET 2025 counselling process is expected to start in the fourth week of July 2025, about a month after the NEET 2025 results are announced. If delayed, it will begin by August 2025 at the latest. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that the NEET 2025 results will be declared by June 14, 2025, after which the counselling process will begin.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the NEET 2025 counselling online. However, in the final round, candidates must visit the allotted institute in person for document verification and admission completion. The process will likely include five to six rounds, but additional rounds may be held if seats remain vacant.
There are two types of NEET 2025 counselling—one for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and another for the 85% State Quota (SQ) seats. MCC handles the counselling for AIQ seats, while state counselling authorities manage the process for state quota seats.
The NEET 2025 exam is scheduled for May 4, 2025. NTA, the exam conducting authority, released the official notification on February 7, 2025, along with the application form. The application process closed on March 7, 2025, at 11:50 PM. A correction window was available from March 9 to March 11, 2025, for candidates to make necessary changes to their applications.
