  • MICAT Scores: The scores for the MICAT exam are released separately for each phase. MICA uses a specific marking scheme to evaluate each candidate's performance.
  • MICAT Shortlists: MICA creates shortlists after evaluating candidates for the selection rounds, including GE and PI. These shortlists determine eligibility for further selection stages based on various criteria.
  • MICAT Results: Also known as the final results, these are released for candidates who are selected for the PGDM program at MICA. The final results are calculated based on multiple parameters, reflecting the overall performance of each candidate.

Candidates are shortlisted for the GE-PI rounds based on their CAT/XAT/GMAT scores and MICAT scores.

MICA Selection Process 2024

Admission to MICA Ahmedabad requires taking the MICAT or MICA Admissions Test, which is held twice a year. Candidates are not obligated to take both tests; if they do, the higher score between MICAT I and MICAT II will be considered. Shortlisted candidates will then proceed to the final selection rounds, which include GE and PI.

  • Step-I: Candidates must first take the CAT/XAT/GMAT exam.
  • Step-II: Candidates who have taken any of the above exams are eligible to take the MICAT. MICAT assesses candidates in the following sections:
    • Section A: Psychometric Test
    • Section B: Descriptive Test
    • Section C: Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, General Awareness, Divergent and Convergent Thinking
  • Step-III: Candidates who pass CAT/XAT/GMAT and MICAT I & II will participate in the Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI).

GE & PI Shortlist Criteria

Section A: The Psychometric Test is a qualifier.

  • Candidates who pass the Psychometric Test will have their CAT/XAT/GMAT scores considered, subject to meeting the minimum cutoff.
  • Candidates who qualify based on their CAT/XAT/GMAT scores will then be evaluated on their performance in Section B of MICAT.
  • Candidates who clear Section B will have their Section C performance assessed.
