The MICAT examination is a national-level management entrance test conducted by MICA for admission into PGDM and PGDM C programs at Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad. The MICAT exam 2024 is divided into three sections: a Psychometric test, a Descriptive exam, and an Aptitude exam. The MICAT 2024 Aptitude exam includes Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness, and Divergent-Convergent reasoning. The exam is conducted twice in a year.
To be eligible for the MICAT exam, interested candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% in any stream from a recognized university/college or should be in the final year of their undergraduate degree. Also, candidates must have a valid score in any of these examinations- CAT 2023, XAT 2024, GMAT 2022 onwards. Admissions will depend on candidates’ performance in the exams CAT/XAT/GMAT and MICAT followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds.

What is MICAT 2024?
MICAT, short for MICA Admission Test, is the online entrance test conducted to take admissions in any of MICA’s PGP programs such as the Post Graduate Diploma in Management and Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Communications. The test consists of a mixture of objective and Subjective questions from various sections. The exam consists of three sections namely Psychometric Test, Descriptive Test, and Aptitude Test. Section C of the exam contains the standard topics of competitive exams. It has various multiple-choice questions from four sub-sections which are as follows: Divergent-Convergent Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, and General Awareness. MICA, Ahmedabad conducts the MICAT examination in two phases; MICAT 1 and MICAT 2. From the above two scores, the institute’s average score compiles the GE-PI shortlist. The final selection is dependent based on the overall performance of the candidate in CAT/XAT/GMAT, MICAT, and Group exercises as well as Personal interviews.

MICAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility requirements for admission to the PGDM/PGDM-C programs through MICAT 2024 are outlined as follows:

GMAT (from 2022 onwards)
Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution accredited by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Students in their final year of a bachelor's degree program are also eligible to apply for the MICAT 2024 examination.
MICAT Registration 2024
The registration process for the MICAT exam by the Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, has been concluded. MICAT Scores 2024

Understanding MICAT Scores, Shortlists, and Results

MICA Selection Process 2024
Admission to MICA Ahmedabad requires taking the MICAT or MICA Admissions Test, which is held twice a year. Candidates are not obligated to take both tests; if they do, the higher score between MICAT I and MICAT II will be considered. Shortlisted candidates will then proceed to the final selection rounds, which include GE and PI.

- Candidates who qualify based on their CAT/XAT/GMAT scores will then be evaluated on their performance in Section B of MICAT.
- Candidates who clear Section B will have their Section C performance assessed.
- Those who pass Sections A, B, and C will be invited for GE/PI at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
