November 12, 2024: The MCAER PG CET exam is scheduled to be conducted in a paper-pencil-based mode from May 31 to June 2, 2024.

November 11, 2024: Admit cards for MCAER CET will be issued exclusively to successfully registered candidates on May 20, 2024.

November 10, 2024: Authorities will provide a 10-day window for addressing student concerns from April 1 to April 10, 2024.

November 9, 2024: The deadline for registration for the MCAER PG CET application form was extended to March 22, 2024 (until 11:59 PM), along with the deadline for application fee payment.

November 9, 2024: The Maharashtra Agricultural Universities Examination Board (MAUEB) released a notice on March 6, 2024, announcing revised dates for the MCAER PG CET.

November 8, 2024:  Previously, the application form deadline was February 27, 2024.

November 7, 2024: The MCAER CET 2024 notification for the academic session 2024-2025 was issued on February 1, 2024, along with the release of the application form.

The Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (MCAER PG CET) 2025 is an important exam for students wanting to join postgraduate agriculture programs in Maharashtra. The Maharashtra Agricultural Universities Examination Board (MAUEB) organises this test to help students get into top agricultural colleges in the state. 


 To apply, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related field from a recognised institution. For open category candidates, 55 per cent marks or a CGPA of 5.5 out of 10 in the undergraduate are necessary. For the reserved category, which includes the SC, ST, VJ-a, NT-b, NT-c, NT-d, OBC, SBC, SEBC, EWS, and PH, students must have 50% marks or a CGPA of 5.0 out of 10 in aggregate of all subjects. Final-year graduation candidates can also apply for MCAER PG CET 2022.


 Some top colleges that accept this exam include Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, and Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth.

What is the MCAER PG CET?

 

MCAER PG CET is conducted for the admission in Postgraduate Programme (Master of Science (MSc) and Master of Engineering and Technology (MTech) offered at State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) in Maharashtra by Maharashtra Agriculture Universities Examination Board (MAUEB). MCAER CET 2020 will be conducted in pen-and-paper format, and a state-level test will be postponed to March due to the pandemic. Nearly 10000 candidates appear in the Senior Grade Exam every year.

MCAER PG CET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

 

1. MCAER CET 2025 Qualification: MCAER CET test-takers must have a bachelor's degree lasting at least three years in the respective field as a prerequisite for qualification.

2. For open category candidates, 55 per cent marks or a CGPA of 5.5 out of 10 in the undergraduate are necessary

3. For the reserved category, which includes the SC, ST, VJ-a, NT-b, NT-c, NT-d, OBC, SBC, SEBC, EWS, and PH, students must have 50% marks or a CGPA of 5.0 out of 10 in aggregate of all subjects.

4. Final-year graduation candidates can also apply for MCAER PG CET 2022.

5. MAUEB will compile the final merit of the MCAER CET 2025. For this, seventy per cent of the weightage is given to marks secured in the MCAER CET exam, and the remaining thirty per cent is the weightage from the respective CGPA score of the qualifying degree examination.
