MAT Selection and Admission Process 2025: Check Dates, Participating Colleges
MAT 2025 Counselling
MAT 2025 counselling is accepted by more than 800 B-Schools across India for MBA/PGDM admissions. The process involves Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). During MAT registration, candidates can select up to 5 MBA colleges to which they wish to apply. AIMA facilitates sending MAT scores directly to these chosen colleges for admission consideration. The list of participating institutes is available in the MAT application form for selection. After the MAT exam results are declared, these colleges invite candidates for the Written Ability Test (WAT), GD, PI, or direct admission based on their scores. MAT 2025 is conducted in multiple sessions—February, May, September, and December—to accommodate candidates according to their preferred admission cycles. Admission procedures through MAT scores are currently in progress.
MAT Selection Process and Participating Institutes 2025
Due to MAT admission, candidates must select five MBA colleges while filling out the MAT application form.
The colleges that accept MAT scores admit candidates for MBA programs if they meet the MAT cutoff.
Participating institutes shortlist students based on criteria set by their admission committees.
The MAT selection process includes Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), and Written Ability Test (WAT), which are conducted separately by each institute.
AIMA plays no role in selecting candidates for MBA admission through MAT.
Candidates who do not meet the MAT cutoff for selection criteria may not receive a call from their preferred institute.
Some MAT-participating colleges admit qualifiers based solely on exam scores without requiring WAT/GD-PI.
Candidates can apply to additional colleges by completing their application forms.
