Master of Veterinary Science [MVSc]: Entrance Exams

The ICAR entrance test is the primary requirement for admission to master's programs in veterinary science. Most institutions administer their entrance examinations in addition to the ICAR exam, and those who pass the ICAR entrance exam are granted a limited number of places. 

• The ICAR All India Entrance Exam is held in June to provide admission. • KVASFU: This test is administered as part of the KVASFU to applicants to Karnataka's veterinary institutions. Applicants must have completed at least seven years of their education in Karnataka, except NRIs, ICAR nominees, etc. Typically, the test takes place in September.

• PGEE: The Rajiv Gandhi College of Veterinary and Animal Science requires passing this test to admit students. The test is often administered in November.

• Exam for BIRSA Agricultural University: This test is required to get admitted to Ranchi's BIRSA Agricultural University. The test is typically administered in May.
