M.Sc

The candidate must have a B.Sc. from a recognised university.

Merit in the JIPMER Entrance Exam, followed by a personal interview.

MPH

Duration: 2 years

MBBS Degree / 

BDS (Dental) or any relevant bachelor’s degree from any recognised university with 50% scores. Applicants must have completed their 12 monthly internships.

Score/

Merit in INI CET followed by counselling.

MS

Duration: 3 years

Candidates must have an MBBS degree from any university recognised by MCI and complete a one-year rotational internship.

MD

MDS

M.Ch

Master’s Degree in the medical field or equivalent examination from a recognised institution.

JIPMER 2025 MBBS Eligibility Criteria

 

One criterion that candidates must ensure before applying for the JIPMER Exam 2025 for MBBS is to check their eligibility. Eligibility requirements are to be an Indian citizen or NRI (Non-Resident Indian), and foreign national students must have prior approval from India's Medical Council. Besides, candidates should have completed 10+2 or equivalent examinations from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. 

 

Candidates should be a minimum of 17 years and a maximum of 25 by December 31, 2025. Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST must secure at least 40% marks to qualify for the next round. Candidates must also have studied physics, chemistry, biology and English as subjects in their 10+2 curriculum. Applicants are to check if they meet all the eligibility requirements before moving to the application process for the JIPMER 2025 Exam.

JIPMER 2025 PhD Eligibility Criteria

 

For applicants wishing to be enrolled in the JIPMER PhD course, they need to be a postgraduate with a degree in a medical or nursing speciality as recognised by the MMC or INC, such as an MD from a recognised medical college or an MSc Nursing from an INC-recognized institution, or a non-medical qualification, such as a Master's degree in a relevant subject approved by the UGC or equivalent. 

 

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PPH should have a minimum of 55% overall in the qualifying exam, and students who are about to complete the required degrees by Oct 31, 2025, can apply. Still, the candidates who have done their Master's through distance learning programs will not be eligible for it, and the candidates should have cleared their entrance exams for the relevant subjects in cases of the Joint CSIR-UGC NET.
