What is JEE Advanced?

JEE Advanced can be considered as the subsequent stage of testing after JEE Main which is aimed at the students willing to enter the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Thus, JEE Main makes it possible for 5 lakh performers to compete for JEE Advanced seeking a place in the premium IITs. Given in CBT mode every year, JEE Advanced is conducted by one of the seven IITs or the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore which is under the authority of the JAB.

This examination provides admission to undergraduate courses like B. Tech, B. Sc, B. Arch and so on besides providing admissions in Integrated Master’s and Dual degree programs. For the seat allocation the ‘Joint Seat Allocation Authority’ is there which works in combination with the rank obtained in ‘JEE Advanced’ and the wishes of the candidates.

The existing programs include B. Tech in the different fields of Engineering, B. Sc programs in Science, B. Arch in Architecture, Dual degree programs such as B. Tech- MTech and BS-MS, and Integrated MTech and M Sc. Job offers for the students qualifying in the JEE Advanced exam are provided with the seats in the IITs depending on the choice of programs and the ranking in the exam conducted through JoSAA

JEE Advanced 2025 Preparation Tips

Students should adhere to the following JEE Advanced 2025 preparation guidelines in order to perform well in the test:

  • Early JEE Advanced preparation is essential for students. It will assist them in finishing the syllabus on time, answering any questions, completely revising it, and showing up for the practice exams.

  • Next, create an appropriate schedule and follow it during the preparation process. Strive to cover every topic on the syllabus.

  • All fundamental and complex ideas must be well understood by the students. Regularly answering questions is one way to do this.

  • Continue to be mentally stable and in good health. Preparing for JEE might be tough. Relax and take breaks or time off in between study sessions.

JEE Advanced 2025 Last Month Preparation Strategy

For your reference, the expert's last month's advice for JEE Advanced 2025 applicants is listed below:

  • There is more to JEE Advanced than just MCQs. The question categories include paragraph-based numerical, integral value-based questions, and multiple-choice questions. being knowledgeable about all query types and the most effective time-saving methods for resolving issues.
  • Prioritising quality revision over quantity is important because most students make the error of revising the entire syllabus. Rather, the emphasis should be on rewriting the 60–70% of the chapters that are more important for the test. Instead of allocating the same amount of time to the entire syllabus at a substandard level, this guarantees excellent time for the crucial chapters.
  • Effective time management On exam day, you must sit for a total of six hours. Make sure you complete the mock exams in a 6-hour sitting, exactly like the exam day schedule, to guarantee that you are prepared for the big day. Always be sure to evaluate your performance and focus on your weak areas after completing the mocks.
  • Avoid stress and practice relaxation techniques. The last month, especially the last week, can be extremely stressful and exhausting. Staying calm and relaxed is important to perform well on the exam day. Practice meditation and breathing exercises to start your day and prepare a study and revision plan for the week in advance.

JEE Advanced Conducting IITs

One of the seven zonal Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs)—IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, and IIT Guwahati—conducts the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced in a round-robin format. In order to administer the exam, the IITs are logically sorted, and the rotation is typically from the top to the bottom of the list, with the top of the list being reached first, and so on. The Joint Admission Board (JAB) provides guidance for the test. In essence, the purpose of this rotation method is to guarantee that the seven zonal IITs share responsibility for conducting exams fairly.
