IISER Entrance Exam 2025 Admission Process:

The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) are a set of seven world-class institutions committed to scientific and research excellence. They provide a comprehensive and interdisciplinary education that prepares students to work in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The IISERs also place a heavy emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship.

Admission to the IISERs is extremely competitive, and only the highest-ranked candidates are chosen. The admission process consists of two stages:

Stage 1: Entrance Exam.

The initial step in the admissions procedure is the entrance exam. The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) is a national-level entrance exam administered online. The IAT is a three-hour exam that covers a variety of subjects, including physics, chemistry, algebra, biology, and general science. The IAT is a difficult exam, and candidates should begin preparing for it early. There are several tools available to help students prepare for the IAT, including online practice exams, study guides, and coaching sessions. The IAT scores are used to rank candidates and pick the top ones for the second stage of the admissions process.

Stage 2: The Selection Process

Other extracurricular activities. In addition to the considerations listed above, the selection committee may examine the following:

The candidate's personal statement: The personal statement allows the candidate to tell the selection committee about their love for research, professional aspirations, and unique experiences. The candidate's letters of recommendation: Letters of recommendation from professors and mentors can give the selection committee with vital information about the candidate's academic talents, personal characteristics, and potential for success. The applicant interview: The interview allows the candidate to meet with the selection committee and discuss their interest in the IISERs, as well as their academic and professional ambitions.

IISER 2025 Entrance Examination Analysis

IISER Entrance Exam 2025 is tentatively scheduled for the second week of June 2025. Because the exam has yet to be administered by the examination body, students can learn about the IAT exam difficulty level, exam pattern, and question trends by reviewing the previous year's IISER Entrance Exam study.

The IISER 2024 Entrance Examination was held on June 9, 2024. IISER 2024 Shift 1 was successfully completed at 12:00 p.m. at the IISER 2024 examination centers. According to the views of students who took the IAT 2024, the IISER Aptitude test was reasonably easy. Those who chose PCM in class 12 reported the biology element to be moderate to challenging, whereas those who chose PCB in class 12 found the Mathematics portion to be moderately difficult. The exam difficulty level for Chemistry and Physics, which are shared subjects for both streams, was moderately simple. Those who have properly studied in grades 11 and 12 will find the exam easy to take.

Many questions in biology and mathematics were found to be implicitly duplicated from the previous year. In the physics parts, questions were asked from a theoretical perspective rather than numerically

To meet the eligibility criteria to appear for the IAT exam for BS-MS course admissions, aspirants must satisfy the below-mentioned requirements:

  • Subsequently, the marks obtained in the last two semesters should be mentioned for boards that follow a semester system.
  • Suppose a board provides only letter grades without giving an equivalent percentage of marks on their grade sheet. In that case, the applicant must obtain a certificate from the said board specifying the equivalent marks and submit it before the deadline for the mark sheet submission.
