The Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Engineering Entrance Examination (HITSEEE) 2025 is a test for students who want to join engineering programs. The exam is organised by the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) and will be online from May 3 to May 10, 2025. It checks the students' knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English & General Knowledge.

 

Before applying, candidates should check if they meet the requirements, such as having finished their 10+2 schooling with a focus on Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. There are also special admission programs for students from underprivileged backgrounds.

 

To get admitted to the Hindustan  Institute of Technology and Science, candidates must clear HITSEEE. HITSEEE 2025 is an online exam with multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in English. The test has 60 questions, divided into four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English & General Knowledge, with 15 questions in each section. Candidates have two hours to complete the exam. There are two phases of the exam, followed by a counselling process to help students get into the engineering programs.

What is HITSEEE?

 

HITSEEE is the examination for students seeking admission to the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science to pursue BTech programs. The examination takes place annually, where students undertake the online examination on merit. They base their argument on the entry examination and Class 12 examinations. The online examination comprises 60 MCQs that are divided into Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English & General Knowledge tests, and each test consists of 15 MCQ test items. The examination takes one hour.

Eligibility Criteria

BTech

Pass in Class 12 or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects along with one of the Chemistry / 

Biotechnology / 

Biology Technical Vocational subjects.

Scored a minimum 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category) in the above subjects taken together

Minimum 60% marks in Mathematics

Vocational Stream

 

Candidates who pass in HSC (vocational stream) with engineering / 

technical vocational subjects and any one or two related subjects like mathematics, physics, or chemistry are also eligible.

 

They should have obtained 50% aggregate in the vocational & related subjects.

B.Arch

Passed Class 12 or equivalent exam with an average of not less than 60%, with Mathematics / Business Mathematics as one of the subjects.

Pass in Diploma (3 years) with Mathematics / 

Business Mathematics as a subject.

 

Scored a minimum 50% aggregate from a recognised central / 

state government institute

All candidates must appear in the Aptitude test conducted by the Council of Architecture (NATA), and the score should not be less than 80 out of 200

B.Tech (Lateral Entry)

Passed Diploma in appropriate branch of Engineering / 

Technology with minimum 50% aggregate or

Passed BSc in Science of minimum three years duration with minimum 50% aggregate and studied Mathematics in Class 12 or studied Mathematics as core or ancillary subjects at BSc level alone are eligible for admission
