DNB PDCET Counselling: Seats Allotment Process

First Round: In the first round, eligible candidates who have qualified the DNB PDCET are required to register on the portal. Once that is done they have to choose the institutes/ hospitals which you want to go for your DNB. iii. Number of colleges/Institutes: There is no limit to the number of colleges you want to have at this stage as well ii. Candidates belonging to reserved categories should ascertain for themselves their eligibility with regards to the cap on number of attempts as well as from perspectives regarding age limits for various services/posts under Government of India in case they are claiming relaxation in upper age limit and do so before applying or appearing at Interview. Documents uploaded during the registration are under scrutiny. The choices made by a candidate, even if not "Locked and Confirmed" till the last submission date will be considered as final. Non-registering online / Non-payment of the Counselling Fee in the given time period will lead to a rejection from counselling Reserved category seats will be distributed after the completion of the general category. The NBE will also release a mock seat allotment list and open the correction window, where registered candidates will be allowed to do modifications. There will be no new registration accepted during this period. "After considering this modification, the NBE will publish the final seat allotment list," it said. Options with a lesser preference than the allocated seat will be disabled while higher choice options will again remain available to upgrade If a candidate is fine with the seat allotted and doesn’t wish to go further in the counselling process, He/She may choose his/her option as ‘freeze’ by paying their first-year course fee at the time of counselling. Students would not be able to take part in any further rounds if the fees are paid.

Second and Third Round: NBE will release the list of seats which are vacant after the first round and steps 10 to 17 will be followed again. In the event a choice intends to keep standing from that initial round, they will have to eliminate any remaining options on the structure. Failure to remove other options may result in accepting an upgraded seat. The candidates who have been allotted a seat and have also paid the course fee for a year should report to the respective institute.

Fourth Round (Offline): Candidates registered online but not allotted a seat in previous rounds can participate in this round. They must report to the NBE Office on the designated date with all required documents in original. Upon seat allocation, the candidate must pay the course fee to confirm admission.
