CUET PG 2025 Exam Duration
The exam duration for CUET PG 2025 has been revised. Previously, candidates had 2 hours to complete the exam, but this year, the duration has been reduced to 105 minutes (1 hour and 45 minutes).
Impact of the Changes on Exam Duration
Positives:
- Increased Efficiency: The reduced duration and question count could improve test-taking efficiency, allowing candidates to complete the exam faster.
- Reduced Pressure: The shorter exam might reduce anxiety and pressure, creating a calmer test-taking environment and potentially fairer evaluations.
- Focus on Quality: With fewer questions, the emphasis might shift to more complex and thought-provoking questions, testing deeper understanding rather than simple recall.
Negatives:
- Time Crunch: The denser question paper could challenge some students, making them feel hurried and pressured, which might impact performance and accuracy.
- Strategic Difficulties: Previous time management strategies may need significant adjustments to adapt to the new section structure and format.
- Limited Scope: The reduced question count might not cover the entire syllabus comprehensively, which could be a concern for students aiming for highly competitive programs.
Overall Implications:
The new CUET PG format impacts the exam duration, presenting both benefits and challenges. While the increased efficiency and reduced pressure are positives, the denser question paper and strategic difficulties pose unique obstacles. The success of this revamped format will depend on its ability to balance efficient testing with a comprehensive assessment of candidates' abilities.
