Admission Process 2025
The admission process for Symbiosis Institute of Design is entrance-based and comprises several key steps:
- SEED Examination: The Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) is conducted online. Results will be posted on the SID website according to the schedule. Candidates who qualify for SEED can proceed to the next rounds.
- Portfolio Review: Candidates must upload their portfolios to the portal before the PRPI round. This review is a critical component for B.De's admission.
- PRPI Task: Candidates must complete the PRPI Task and upload it to the portal one day before the online Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction, which will be shared three days before the scheduled date.
- Online PRPI: Candidates will appear for the online Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction, where their performance will significantly influence final admission decisions.
Eligibility Criteria
To ensure a competitive and capable student body, the Symbiosis Institute of Design has set specific eligibility criteria for its programs. For the B.Des program, candidates must have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks and must qualify through the SEED examination. For the M.Des program, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks to be considered for admission.
