ISM Dhanbad Admission
ISM Dhanbad provides admission into all its courses on the basis of strict and competitive selection procedures. The admissions are centralized and take place based on National level entrance tests – JEE (for all undergraduate programmes), GATE (for M. Tech), IIT JAM (for M.Sc) and CAT (for MBA programs). As a rule, the candidates are to be compliant with the requirements set by the institution and undergo counselling or interviews if necessary.

Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Undergraduate Programs:
Eligibility: The candidate must have passed the 10+ 2 examinations with an aggregate of 75% marks (GEN/OBC-NCL candidates) or as per marks relaxed for SC/ST category candidates.
Selection: Based on JEE Advanced rank. Other admission-eligible candidates are those who have a valid joint entrance examination mains score.
Postgraduate Programs (M.Tech, M.Sc, MBA):
Eligibility: To be admitted to M.Tech candidate should possess a B.Tech degree in a relevant discipline. For admittance to M.Sc., one has to possess a Bachelor’s degree in the special subject area. For an MBA, the required eligibility is 10+2+3, which means the candidate must have completed a bachelor's degree with not less than 50% marks.
Selection:
M.Tech: GATE score in order by the process of counselling.
M.Sc: IIT JAM score.
MBA: CAT score followed by GD/PI.
Doctoral Programs (Ph.D.):
Eligibility: Post graduation in the field with more than fifty-five per cent marks.
Selection: On a written examination took a test paper and then an interview by the concerned department.
