IMDR Cha Bappa 2024

 

Venue: Deccan Education Society's Institute of Management Development and Research (IMDR), Pune

The Ganesh Chaturthi celebration at IMDR Pune, known as IMDR Cha Bappa, was a vibrant occasion blending tradition, innovation, and sustainability.

 

Highlights

Details

Ganesh Sthapana and Decoration

Inspired by the launch of the Agri Business Minor Specialization, the theme showcased Agri Tech innovations alongside traditional farming practices. Students crafted eco-friendly Ganesh idols using mud, chocolate, and clay.

Aarti and Bhajans

The IMDR Band "Suvarna Swar," led by Akshay Bhosale, performed soulful aarti and bhajans, creating an uplifting spiritual atmosphere.

Eco-Friendly Ganesha Competition

Students created idols from eco-friendly materials, emphasizing sustainability in festivities.

Visarjan and Grand Procession

The procession featured 40 dhols, 10 tashas, and a lezim performance, led by Khushi Shetty and Rajlakshmi. Eco-friendly immersion in a campus water tank concluded the celebrations.

Supported by AMI Business Ventures, Pune, with a sponsorship worth ₹20,000.

Mahaprasad

Students enjoyed Mahaprasad, concluding the event on a communal and celebratory note.

Sanskriti 2024

 

Venue: Amphitheatre, Fergusson College, Pune

Sanskriti 2024 celebrated cultural diversity and talent within the IMDR community, fostering unity and collaboration.

Featured 16 group performances showcasing styles such as Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Bollywood, and contemporary fusion.

Mr. and Ms. Fresher Competition

Students showcased skills in singing, dancing, poetry, and instrumental performances.

Kshitij 2023

 

Duration: December 13-15, 2023
Theme: Celebration of Talent

Kshitij, the annual fest of IMDR Pune, spanned three days of competitions, cultural showcases, and spirited celebrations.

Highlights

Day 1

Inauguration of Kshitij 2023 with a poster unveiling. Events included photography competitions, Tug of War, open mic, and a dance competition.

Day 2

Featured management games such as AD Mad, 500Rs Entrepreneur, and Bizz Quiz. Cultural events included Solo and Duet singing competitions and the Mr. & Miss IMDR competition.

Day 3

Culminated with the Inter-College Fest, Battle of Bands (featuring IMDR’s band "Suvarna Swar"), photography presentation, and prize distribution. The event ended with an exhilarating DJ Night.

Inclusive Horizons 23 Hackathon

The “Inclusive Horizons 23” Hackathon, organized by IMDR in collaboration with the National Human Resource Development Network (NHRDN) Pune Chapter, revolved around the theme of “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belongingness” (DEIB).

My Story Session with Mr. Nandan Bhat

 

In a session titled "My Story," Mr. Nandan Bhat shared his entrepreneurial journey, detailing the challenges and triumphs he encountered while establishing his venture. His narrative served as an inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs, highlighting the significance of resilience and adaptability in the business world.

Industrial Visits

 

To bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, IMDR organized industrial visits to prominent companies such as Alfa Laval, Mapro, KSB Ltd., and Wilo. These visits allowed students to observe industry operations firsthand, understand organizational dynamics, and gain practical insights into various business processes.

Drum Circle

 

The Drum Circle event was designed to foster teamwork and enhance communication skills among students. Participants engaged in collaborative drumming sessions, which not only served as a stress-relief activity but also emphasized the importance of synchronization and collective effort in achieving common goals.

Sankalpana - Management Hackathon

 

"Sankalpana," a management hackathon, challenged students to devise innovative solutions to real-world business problems. This event encouraged critical thinking, creativity, and the application of management theories to practical scenarios, preparing students for the complexities of the corporate environment.

Management Neophyte: Internship Project Presentation Competition

 

The "Management Neophyte" competition provided a platform for students to present their internship projects, showcasing the skills and knowledge acquired during their internships. This competition not only recognized student achievements but also facilitated the exchange of ideas and best practices among peers.
