IIT Madras Scholarships 2025

SC/ST Scholarship:

This scholarship is offered to students from SC/ST categories whose annual parental income is below INR 4.5 lakhs. Students receive a tuition fee waiver, free meals, and a monthly pocket allowance of INR 250.

Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarship:

Only 25% of the admitted students can avail themselves of this scholarship, which provides a 67% tuition fee waiver. To qualify, students must have an annual parental income below INR 4.5 lakhs and maintain a minimum GPA of 5.0 in the previous semester for renewal.

Institute Notional Prize:

This one-time grant of INR 1,000 is awarded to 7% of admitted students based on their JEE rank, provided their annual parental income does not exceed INR 4.5 lakhs.

Institute Free Studentship:

This scheme offers a 67% tuition fee exemption to students whose annual parental income is below INR 4.5 lakhs. The scholarship is available to 25% of undergraduate students.

Dr. K Vasanth Rau Scholarship:

M. Sankaraiah and M. Saradha (Mithigiri) Scholarship:
