The Indian Institute of Art & Design (IIAD) is presently conducting its admissions for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic period. The institute provides both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) degree plans under design disciplines and business management fields. Candidates can enter these programs through iDAT admission tests for design programs and iMAT admission tests for business management programs, followed by specific course personal interviews.

- There are no internal transfers in the admission process of the IIAD, as all its admissions are entrance-based.

- A DA candidate can only make it to a particular course depending on the results of entrance exams like IDAT/IMAT.
- Similar to the Management courses, the eligibility criterion includes passing the Personal Interview round for exams for Management courses.
Step 3: Disclosure of Merit List
- The written test schedules are announced through the websites, and upon completion of the selection rounds, IIAD publishes the merit list of the selected candidates.

IIAD Lateral Entry Admissions: IIAD welcomes applications for transfer to its design courses from students who have completed at least one year of a design degree/diploma program at a national or international design institute. This transfer is also known as Lateral Entry. The student will be evaluated based on an interview and a portfolio of work from their prior design institute.
