Goa Institute of Management Admission Process 2025
The Goa Institute of Management (GIM) as of the academic year of 2024 follows the entrance-based system of admission. Some of the entrance exams are important for admission into various programmes and GIM also has its own exam named as GIM Analytics Aptitude Test(GAAT), especially for courses such as PGDM BDA. Further, the institute also considers all the national management entrance examinations such as XAT, CAT, GMAT MAT. GIM Goa offers a wide variety of postgraduate and doctoral programmes, namely PGDM and FPM. One of the distinct features is the two-year International Double Degree in Analytics which includes PGDM – BDA along with the Master’s in Business Analytics from the Nova School of Business and Economics, Portugal.

GIM Eligibility & Selection Criteria
GIM Goa offers admission to the MBA programme where the candidates are selected based on ranks obtained in the entrance examination. There are some academic requirements, which need to be fulfilled, and the candidate’s performance in the respective entrance examinations is also taken as consideration for admission.

PGDM Admission Eligibility Criteria Pattern
To be eligible for the PGDM programmes at Goa Institute of Management (GIM), candidates must meet the following requirements:
Educational Qualification: The pre-requisites of a candidate include a total of 50% marks in a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University.
Entrance Exam Scores: The candidate should have appeared for or passed in any one of the examinations including XAT/CAT.
XAT 2024: Candidates seeking admission to GIM need to use their XAT 2023 scores.
CAT 2023: Applicants with Achievers/ELITE round can also apply using the CAT 2022 score.
Seat Intake at GIM Goa 2025
The total number of seats that are offered to students at GIM Goa varies depending on the specialisation offered by the PGDM programme. All the seats are filled strictly based on merit in the entrance exam and there exists no reservation policy for any kind of students.

Step-by-step procedure for the admission process
The opening of admission at GIM Goa starts in the month of January of every year. The process involves several steps, beginning with registration and application submission:

The whole process of application is conducted in an online manner. Another cost to be paid by prospective students is the non-refundable application fee, this fee ranges with the time of application and the number of programmes the student has applied to.
Selection Rounds
The candidates interested in PGDM programmes are also evaluated by exam scores like XAT, CAT, or GMAT and then face-to-face evaluation and Profile Assessment Index. It is to be noted that GAAT is only undertaken for the PGDM BDA programme and the PGDM BDA + MSc Business Analytics programme. The basic academic qualification needed for FPM admissions is that the candidate should have passed XAT, CAT, GMAT or JRF and the final round of selection is the interview round.
Merit list and admission cum verification list
After all the rounds of selection are conducted the GIM Goa announces a merit list. The shortlisted students are posted to the institute with a formal letter of admission and the students have to pay fees towards the chosen programme.
