What is CMAT 2025?

The Common Management Admission Test is a business aptitude examination held by the National Testing Agency for admission into MBA/PGDM programs, which was previously managed by AICTE. The third most demanding MBA entrance test in India is the CMAT exam, with about 70,000 candidates taking it each year. Around 1,300 B-schools throughout the nation accept it, including some of the most prestigious ones such as Great Lakes Institute of Management, JBIMS, SIMSREE, K J Somaiya Mumbai, Welingkar Mumbai, and PUMBA. The Common Management Admission Test is a five-section paper of 100 questions that assess candidates’ abilities in Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Generally, the CMAT paper was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty.

CMAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

The eligibility criteria for CMAT 2025 mirrors that of other MBA entrance exams, focusing primarily on graduation. Applicants are required to fulfill the following academic prerequisites:
 

• Completion of graduation or an equivalent degree from a recognized university.

• Final-year graduation students are eligible to apply for CMAT 2025.

• Graduation degrees from any mode of education and in any course stream are acceptable.

• No minimum percentage score requirement exists for graduation in the CMAT exam; passing marks are sufficient.

• There is no upper age limit for CMAT, allowing both fresh graduates and working professionals to participate.

CMAT 2025 Registration Process

CMAT 2025 registration has officially commenced; the National Testing Agency released a notification on March 29, 2025, which included registration dates. Due in May 2025, the CMAT 2025 examination requires several necessary steps, including creating a login ID, an application form to be filled out, etc., along with fees. While the examination fee is INR 2,000 for General Male candidates, it is INR 1,000 for female and reserved category candidates; here is a detailed preview of the CMAT 2025 registration application, such as the registration process alongside eligibility criteria, fee structure, document requirements, and correction.

The CMAT 2025 registration process involves five main steps:

• Go to the CMAT-NTA website, and press ‘registration link for CMAT 2025’. 
• Complete the required details; name, date of birth, city, email ID, password, and mobile phone number. Type the OPT you receive on your phone to proceed; you will generate a 12-digit application number. 
• Use the given application number and password to log in again. Then fill in your academic information enter your personal information, and select your preferred test city. 
• Review the information and edit if necessary before submitting the CMAT 2025 application form. 
• After filling in the required details, upload a passport-size photo, signature, and PwD certificate if you have one.

Payment of CMAT Application Fee

For accurate completion of the CMAT 2025 registration cum application form, candidates should have the following documents readily available:
 

• Marksheet of Class 10

• Marksheet of Class 12

• Marksheet of Graduation

• Caste certificate (if applicable)

• PWD/DA certificate (if applicable)

• Candidate's signature on white paper

• Recent passport-size photograph, preferably against a white background

• Payment details for debit/credit card or net banking

If the candidate is a final year graduate student, they can input the average score of the first two years after selecting the option indicating ongoing graduation in the CMAT 2025 application form.

How to Choose Test City for CMAT 2025

Based on the policymakers’ approval and agenda, the candidates applying for CMAT 2025 are requested to choose; for this, applicants have to select their most favored test cities for receiving test centers. The candidate will pick up to four distinct cities for the test center on CMAT from a total of 124 cities. Once the candidate has uploaded the test city details to their application structure, they may not alter it in any way shape, or form. Candidates must pay close attention to this necessary arrangement as the details of the exam center and the test city will be mentioned on their CMAT 2025 admit card. The exam center provided to you is the final one, and no one can request any changes under any circumstances.
