CAT 2024-25: Key Dates and Events
Registration: Candidates need to register for CAT 2024-25 on the CAT official website, by creating an account. After registering, they can fill out the application form and pay the fee, which is INR 2,400 for General category applicants and INR 1,200 for Reserved categories. The application must be submitted before the specified deadline, as late submissions will not be accepted. The fee is non-refundable, and payment is essential to complete the application process. All candidates, including those who have taken the test before, must register afresh since previous login IDs will not be valid.
Form Correction: Post-application submission, candidates will have the opportunity to correct certain fields in their forms. This includes updating their photo, signature, and test city preferences. No other fields will be editable during this correction window.
Admit Card Release: The CAT 2024-25 admit card will be available online. Candidates must download it from the official website using their login details. The admit card will be accessible until the exam day and must be carried to the test center. Digital copies will not be accepted.
Mock Test Release: An official CAT mock test will be available on the exam website shortly before the test date, accessible without login. Candidates are encouraged to take this mock test to familiarize themselves with the exam pattern and navigation. It also helps in assessing the time required to solve questions, aiding in effective exam-day planning.
Exam Date: CAT 2024-25 will take place on November 24, 2024, in a computer-based format across various centers in India. The exam will be conducted in three-time slots:

CAT Exam Day Instructions
Candidates must bring two copies of the CAT 2024-25 admit card and a photocopy of a valid photo ID (original and photocopy).
Only the CAT 2024 admit card and the photo ID card will be permitted inside the exam hall.
Authorities will provide a writing pad and pen for rough work, which must be returned after the test.
Candidates should write their name and registration number on the provided writing pad.
Candidates must arrive at the CAT exam centre by the reporting time specified on their admit cards.
Use the Reference Number on the admit card to locate the assigned door/wing/lab at the test venue.
Do not sign the CAT admit card before entering the exam hall; it should be signed before the invigilator.
Affix the same photo on the admit card printouts uploaded during the CAT application process.
Mobile phones, calculators, iPads, and other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
Avoid bringing bags or luggage to the CAT 2024-25 exam centre, as there will be no provision for a bag deposit.
Items like jackets, hoodies, coats, cardigans with pockets, caps, headgear, and metal jewellery are not allowed inside the exam hall.
Candidates with medical implants such as pacemakers must bring a medical certificate validating their condition.
