What is the BEET Exam?

Bachelor of Education Entrance Test (BEET) is a university-level test conducted by Patna University for B. Ed admissions. The BEET examination allows successful applicants to secure a seat in Patna Training College for Men and Patna Women’s Training College.

BEET Dates 2025

The exam conducting body, Patna University, will soon be announcing the notification regarding the Bachelor of Education Entrance Test 2025 session on the official site of the university. In addition, the BEET 2025 application process schedule such as registration and counselling will also be released along with the BEET 2025 notification. The updated schedule for the BEET examination will be published on this page as and when it is released. After the release of the BEET 2025 application form, the candidates will have to follow the process of applying for admission to B. Ed courses. 

BEET 2025 Exam Eligibility

BEET Exam Eligibility Criteria for B.Ed:

Educational Qualification: 

• Should be a graduate and/or postgraduate in Science, Social Science, Humanities, or Commerce with marks not less than 50%. 

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science & Mathematics with 55% marks from a recognized University. 

• Allowance for the 5% relaxation in marks in view of the decision of the Bihar Government for the reserved category candidates. 

Course Requirements: 

• Must have studied at least two of the following subjects in Graduation/Post Graduation: English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Persian, Arabic, History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Humanity, Physical science, Biology, Maths commerce, computer science. 

Reservation & Related Information: 

• The candidates belonging to SC/ST/EBC (BC-I)/BC (BC-II)/BCW and physically challenged categories will be provided with reservations according to the state government of Bihar rules only. 

• For SC ST BC-I and BC-II candidates, they have to attach the caste certificates obtained from the competent authority of CO/SDO/DM. 

• Candidates belonging to the Physically challenged category have to send a certificate from a Civil Surgeon or any officer above the rank of Civil Surgeon. 

• The visually challenged (blind) candidates are allowed to have a writer and the university prescribes the writer. 

• The visually challenged candidates need to take prior written permission from the Controller of Examinations, Patna University, 10 days before the entrance test. 

BEET Result 2025

The results of the BEET will be released by the respective exam authority after the conduction of the exam. The results will be declared online on the university official website of Patna University along with the university notice board. It remains obligatory for the qualified candidates to undergo the counselling process in order to be placed in the particular colleges to continue their B. Ed. course. 

BEET Merit List 2025

The separate merit list will also be prepared for BEET and it will be uploaded on the Patna University website, Patna Training College website and Women Training College website. The list will thus sort candidates based on the exam scores and the specific category they belong to. In the event of a tie, the merit list will be determined based on the following criteria:

• Marks obtained in the undergraduate program

• Marks obtained in the 12th-grade board exams

• Age seniority
