The AIFD WAT 2025 examination result will be declared in May 2025. The examination will be conducted on April 2025. This is an online examination conducted across 38 Indian cities. To participate in this examination, candidates need to download their admit card from the Official website. The admit card will be released in April 2025. The Army Institute of Fashion & Design (AIFD) started the application process.
The common eligibility criteria for this examination is that candidates need to qualify for class 11th and 12th examinations with a minimum of 35% marks from the recognised board. Candidates should have full details about the eligibility criteria of this examination. By qualifying for this examination, students can secure their seats for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Army Institute of Fashion and Design.

What is AIFD WAT?
AIFD was started in the year 2004 at Bangalore which is under the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). Earlier, for its design programs, the college administered a written admission test (WAT), which is held once a year. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2021, AIFD introduced the Online Admission Test or OAT. The institute offers the following programs::

AIFD WAT Eligibility Criteria
Army Institute of Fashion and Design enrollment is only for candidates who are children of serving Army personnel, discharged Army personnel or wards of war victims/widows of Army personnel.
Applicants must belong to one of the following categories and submit relevant proof along with their Application Form: Applicants must belong to one of the following categories and submit relevant proof along with their Application Form:
Widows/divorcees/dependent daughters and sons of the serving Army personnel with a minimum of 10 years’ unbroken service.
Receiving pension and present age The respondents of the sample include the children of the ex-Army personnel who are receiving the regular pension, liberalised family pension, family pension, or disability pension at the time of retirement, death discharge, or medical discharge. This also encompasses cases of wards-of-recruits who were medically boarded out on disability pensions.
Adopted and stepchildren:
Adopted children must have been adopted at least five years before applying.
Stepchildren are eligible if born from a marriage where one parent belonged to the Army and meets the eligibility criteria.
Special cases eligibility:
Wards of ex-Army Medical Corps/Army Dental Corps officers currently serving with the Indian Navy or Indian Air Force who have served 10 years with the Army.
Eligibility for children of APS/MNS/TA personnel:
The dependents of APS personnel are defined as ex-servicemen under the Ministry of Defence.
Applicable to children of APS personnel on deputation with a service in the Army for a period of 10 years.
APS personnel children; Civilian personnel recruited to the APS; Persons retired from the APS; Civilian personnel who have retired from the army; Persons who have completed 10 years of service in the army.
Members of MNS who are children of a member of the Nigeria Armed forces with 10 years’ meritorious service or recipients of army pension.
Offspring of TA personnel with 10 years of Embodied Service.
The cardholders are the wards of serving and retired personnel of IN and IAF.
Dependants of serving Assam Rifles personnel.
Civilian wards with a valid NIFT/OAT score from AIFD.
Educational Qualification:
Any aspirant must have cleared his / her 11th and 12th standard with a similar set of subjects as the formal students/candidates and with a minimum of 35% marks in the aggregate from a board/university recognized by UGC / University.
Admission to the B. Sc. course is open to the regular candidates who cleared their 10+2 examination. (FAD) and B. Sc. Based on the norms of Bengaluru North University, the expenses incurred on the students and faculties by the institute during the study period will be called Internal Direct costs (IDD).
For candidates who did their distance education or NIOS, the respective subjects in both 11th and 12th must be the same.
The entrance is offered through the Online Admission Test (OAT).
Physical Fitness:
Candidates must be certified as physically and mentally fit to pursue the course by MH/RMO/Registered Medical Practitioner.
